Balsamic vinegar of Modena

Balsamic vinegar of Modena

The most famous vinegar is the balsamic vinegar of Modena but also most confusing when buying, due to confusing information on the labels and large price differences. The big difference is between the traditional balsamic vinegar of Modena – very expensive and aged in wooden barrels for at least 12 years, and the regular balsamic vinegar of Modena, which may be produced by cheap industrial methods.
Modena is a city in the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna, located between Parma and Bologna.
