Romesco sauce has its origin in the Spanish city of Tarragona which is located in the south of Catalonia. The Romesco sauce is typically made from tomatoes, garlic, peppers, almonds, hazelnuts, with addition of olive oil and red wine

Catalonia in Spain as it has its own culture, it has also its own cuisine. The Catalan cuisine is based on ingredients typical for the Mediterranean region, such as tomato, garlic, eggplant, peppers, bread, pasta, olive oil, wine, beans, mushrooms, different types of cheese and meat, and many types of fish.
A good example is the Catalan dish called escalivada made of different roasted and peeled vegetables, typically tomatoes, eggplants, peppers, onions and garlic, brushed with olive oil and salt sprinkled. Anchovy fillets make a good addition to this. Typically served warm or room temperature with crusty bread.

Another masterpiece of Gaudi is the building in Barcelona called La Pedrera, opened in 1907. The building is on the World Heritage list. Visit to the roof of the building is a stunning experience as the chimneys were built as sculptures of some ancient warriors.
